Fall Fun

Fall??? Fall? are you serious? Yes I did fall cards... at the beginning of summer! Its for a contest.

I decided to take a chance.... I'm going to post my cards I did for the contest at CPS. I love the way they came out. Of course, not what I had in mind when I started but they work for me.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

I'm spending the weekend doing nothing!!! Friday we spent the whole day riding ATV with the family, all 3 of my kiddos went. It was my sons first time on a ATV trip. He did great, but he tried to take the helmet off almost a dozen times!

I've been working with the wonderful Scrapbook Obsessions June Kit! It has the most wonderful peek a boo book! This is a fabulous book, 10 pages plus a hidden pull out on each page. Lots of room for fantastic journaling and wonderful photos! I cant wait to share what I've made with it.

Glitz Design is a new company that I'm designing for and I have to say I am so in love with their paper lines! I love the bright colors, they are fantastic for summer. With two girls the bright pinks, oranges and greens are simply amazing! I love working with them! And wait till you see the BLING!!! Make sure you check out their blog GLITZ IT NOW. I'll post some sneak peeks closer to CHA!

Here's a little funny I found online, enjoy your weekend and don't play your music too loud!

One of those days

Do you ever feel like your list of things to do just keeps getting longer and longer? Even though you are marking things off that you've done! Who's adding to my list? Today I cleaned out my girls closets and put away the winter clothes! And we decided to down size our toy (barbie) collection while we were in the cleaning mood. Piles and piles of clothes and bags and bags of barbie, now I think we are going to have a garage sale. I also need to clean out my scrap room, the kitchen and a few closets. I love to clean and organize. Only 1 1/2 days of school left for my daughter!!! Bring on the lazy days of summer!
Here is a card I made when I had some free time... boy do I miss free time! But I sure am glad summer is almost here!

Birthday Decorations for our ART PARTY

Well my babies are growing up.... and this past weekend we celebrated Keely's 4th birthday and Cole's 2nd birthday! I can hardly believe how fast the years have passed.
We had an Art party and I wanted to share a few of the decorations with everyone.

Center Piece

To make this I started with a white tin with handles. Place floral foam inside to insert the skewer flowers and paint brushes. I used kitchen skewers and painted them green for the stems of the flowers. Using my Cricut I cut different sizes of two different flowers. Stacking the flowers one over another I added buttons and glued them to the skewers. The balls are some wood accents I panted and glued the the skewers. Paint bushes dipped in paint and left to dry were added too. For the filler I cut different colors of paper into small strips. Then using my paper crimper to give the wave effect. To decorate the tin I printed DREAM, BELIEVE, PLAY, CREATE, INSPIRE & IMAGINE onto clear sticker paper.

Crayon Holder & Covered Crayons

I used old ribbon spools to make this crayon holder. I just cut the end of the spools in half and covered with paper. I also inked the edges of the spool. To cover the crayons, I printed labels with the words INSPIRE, PLAY, CREATE, IMAGINE, DREAM & BELIEVE. I also did the same think to the chalk using full sheets of sticker paper.
